The QX550 is a PCIe network card with four 10GBASE-T interfaces based on two Intel X550-AT2 dual Ethernet controllers. For compatibility with mainboards without PCIe slot bifurcation support, both controllers are combined via a PCIe 3.0 switch. The Platform Sync Board (PSB) is a b-plus I/O board as (g)PTP master for the QX550. It supports an Intel i210IT to synchronize the clocks to or from external devices. The U-blox GPS module, PPS in/out and the PCIe UART with NMEA support enable internal time synchronization or synchronization with external grand master clocks. The PSB does not require its own PCIe slot, but is operated via a cable connection from the QX550 Master.

Conventional software solutions achieve an accuracy of less than 100 ms, while our hardware solutions can offer an accuracy of less than 100 ns.
Thanks to its 4x 10G interfaces based on 2 Intel X550 network controllers, the QX550 Time Sync Ports are compatible with all operating systems. This enables seamless integration into different system environments and facilitates time synchronization across different platforms.
