In 2021, b-plus looks back on 25 years of corporate history with numerous successes that have had a lasting impact on the market with technologies, hardware and software solutions.
When Prof. Dr. Jörg Böttcher founded b-plus 25 years ago, he already had the vision to shape the future of tomorrow. The engineering office and system house started with the development of networked measurement technology and automation systems. They were used in one of the first projects for mobile applications in the food industry. In 2002, the company was structured into business areas for mobile automation, automotive software development and embedded system solutions. One year later already, the company was awarded the innovation prize of the city of Deggendorf for its first own product, the Smart X fieldbus converter.
The company group has developed from an engineering service provider to a manufacturer. With its three operating subsidiaries, b-plus is now represented in many industries. From the development of validation and analysis tools for autonomous driving and driver assistance systems, software solutions for the automotive sector, to off-highway applications and mobile automation, the group is broadly positioned.
In the process, b-plus has managed to lead the market with a number of products and make a name for itself: The BRICK, for example, has become indispensable among high-performance computers. The NETLion is also known throughout the industry as the Swiss army knife of automotive Ethernet development. In the off-highway sector, b-plus components such as mobile controllers, CAN control elements or ISOBUS solutions can be found in many mobile machines, special vehicles and agricultural attachments. CONiX Solutions are used by automotive manufacturers and Tier1s to collect and evaluate test data throughout the entire process chain of developing driving systems.
These are just a few examples that characterize the success story of b-plus. As a service provider, b-plus supports its customers and partners with a wide range of experience in software and hardware development. In addition to this know-how, the company is characterized by the fact that its own products and system solutions can be integrated individually and flexibly.
Today's range of products and solutions covers the entire spectrum used in the process of driving test data, processing it, transferring it and testing it in development and research. In mobile automation, b-plus is a renowned supplier and partner.
In addition to the product range, the team of the b-plus group has also experienced enormous growth. After the foundation in 1996, there were six team members who moved into the buildings of the current headquarters in Deggendorf at the turn of the millennium. Today, there are around 240 employees at locations in Deggendorf, Regensburg, Cham and Lindau. There are also sales offices in northern Germany and the United States of America.
Stay tuned for what we planned for you in 2022, the company year 25+1. In addition to further developments of our technologies, product innovations, partnerships and b-plus success stories, we have exciting insights we will provide you with.
